D4vd Under Police Investigation Amid Death of Missing Teen in Los Angeles

American singer-songwriter D4vd, known for his collaborations with K-pop artists like Stray Kids’ Hyunjin, is reportedly being investigated by Los Angeles police in connection to the death of a missing teen girl. According to TMZ, the LAPD is treating D4vd as a suspect in the case involving the body of 15-year-old Celeste Ribas, who was found in a decomposed state in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to him.

Authorities, however, have stated that D4vd has not officially been named a suspect in any legal documents, and no arrest is imminent. The official cause of death is still pending, but police are reportedly treating the case as a homicide. Efforts to contact D4vd for comment have so far been unsuccessful.

Background

The investigation began after officers were called to a Hollywood storage facility on September 8, following reports of a foul odor coming from D4vd’s Tesla. The remains were later confirmed to be Ribas, who had been reported missing in April 2024. Witnesses claimed they had seen her at parties alongside D4vd, and her family noted that she had mentioned a boyfriend named “David”—D4vd’s real name. Additional scrutiny came after it was revealed that both had matching tattoos and that an unreleased song titled “Celeste” had surfaced on SoundCloud last year. Amid growing speculation, D4vd has canceled his U.S., U.K., and European tours and has gone silent on social media.
